You usually have to upgrade your computer frequently to keep up with new games. And even when you do, a year after you get top of the line specs, your computer becomes average again. It's an endless cycle that's just not worth it in my opinion. You can get the same quality of gaming on consoles for around half the cost.
The PC gaming industry has been declining in the last few years with the widespread of consoles. The only exception is MMO games which are keeping PC gaming alive. And even those are starting to pop out on consoles. It's just a matter of time before consoles take over that genre too.
So I think I'm done with PC games. Playing games is not going to be a factor in my next computer. As long as I can play media and do day to day things, that's all I need. With the cancellation of my Warhammer Online account a few weeks ago, I haven't been spending much time playing games, just the casual web game here and there, and I don't really call that gaming.
