First Public DJ Performance

Well, not a performance, but a trial run.

So last Saturday, my friend David told me that I should play a few songs in front of people to get used to the atmosphere and what not. I went early and started warming up and played around a half an hour while few people were there. I did pretty well with few mistakes here and there. It was a little harder to play in the club because the sound isn't as clear, there's echo, and some other reasons.

Then in the middle of night I played a couple of songs when the place was packed with people. It was much harder than at the beginning of the night. I couldn't be 100% focused as there were so many people and it was too loud. So my mixes weren't 100% accurate, but luckily my friend was there to do small adjustments so that it wouldn't sound bad.

I was generally nervous while I was playing. This is normal as I'm a slightly introverted person. I'm sure this will go away after a while as I get used to things. I had tons of fun though and I'm looking forward to next weekend.
